Who am I?

  I am the bass player for Canadian heavy metal bands Warmachine and Slyde, and performed with legendary thrash band Annihilator from 2010 to 2014. I have been a music teacher for the last 8 years, and have had the pleasure of studying and sharing the stage with some amazing musicians. My full bio is below.

  I have performed with the following bands and musicians:

Annihilator (March 2010 – May 2014) is a legendary thrash metal band that has been around since 1984, toured all over the world, recorded 13 albums, and 2 DVDs.


Warmachine (2005 - present) a heavy metal band from Toronto. Alberto has recorded a demo and a full-length album with Warmachine, and has shared the stage with Joey Belladonna, Loudness, Helix, Doro, Cryptopsy, Into Eternity, and W.A.S.P. Warmachine won the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Heavy Metal Band in 2008.


Crush: The Best of Bon Jovi (2009 - 2010) a tribute to Bon Jovi.


Lance King (Avian, Pyramaze, Balance of Power) and Bill Hudson (Cellador, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Circle II Circle) Alberto filled in on bass at the 2nd Nightmare Fest in Tampa Bay, Florida in 2008.


Plan C (2003 - 2008) a Latin-Alternative ba
nd from Toronto. Alberto recorded two albums with Plan C as well as played hundreds of shows across Ontario. With Plan C Alberto won the "Indies" award for Best Latin Band in Canada. Plan C performed at the 2007 Montreal Jazz Festival with Alberto.


Andrew Roudny (2005 - 2006) Alberto recorded an instrumental EP with guitar virtuoso Andrew Roudny called "Zero Words or Less". Andrew was a finalist in the 2003 North American Rock Guitar Competition, Winner of the WDOA Ontario guitar competition 2003.

Big Fat Zero (2007) a Toronto-based Grunge band.


Black Hour (2002- 2004) Alberto was the 2nd bass player of this band, and he played alongside the 1st one: Black Hour always performed live with 2 bass players, playing harmonized parts!


Phil Naro (Talas, Peter Criss) Alberto has performed numerous times with Phil Naro, both on stage and in the studio.


Dala (2004) Alberto performed regularly and recorded a Demo with Universal recording artist folk group Dala.


The Red Peppers (2004) a Toronto-based Dixieland Jazz band.


Marron Matizado (2003) a Toronto-based Salsa band.


Paquito D'Rivera (2003) Alberto performed with the Latin-Jazz legend forone show at Humber College.


Man of La Mancha (2003) Alberto played guitar in Markham Theater's production of the play.


The Skygoers (2002) a latin-funk fusion band.


Toronto All-Star Big Band (2001-2003) playing big band hits from the 40s.

I have studied with the following teachers:
